Collection: Andreas Zagler

Andreas Zagler, born in 1996 in Bolzano, Italy, lives and works as a visual artist in Munich and South Tyrol. His paintings combine technical precision with atmospheric density—his works seem like spaces of memory in which reality and projection overlap.

Zagler studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich in the class of Prof. Karin Kneffel from 2015 to 2023, graduating with a master's degree. He was a Cusanuswerk scholarship holder and was awarded the Debutant Prize of the AdBK Munich in 2023.

His works have been shown in renowned galleries and exhibition spaces, including Sotheby's Artists Quarterly in Munich, Artists Space in New York, Haus der Kunst Munich, Positions Berlin, Parallel Vienna, art Karlsruhe, Galerie Der Mixer in Frankfurt, and the Stadtgalerie Bozen.

Zagler's paintings are permeated with light and depth—they show not only what is, but also what was or could have been. They capture moments that seem both clear and remote—like memories slowly becoming images.
