Cala Caisa (born 1986 in Munich) lives and works as a contemporary abstract artist in Munich. Her artistic development was significantly shaped by years in the Middle East, where she encountered an international art scene characterized by dynamism and cultural change. This experience led to a body of work that explores how internal processes of change can become visible. Her works combine geometric painting with hand-stitched threads and operate at the intersection of image, textile, and space.

Characteristic of her visual language are clear forms, layered color fields, and precisely stretched lines that create a subtle spatial depth. Depending on the incidence of light, distance, and viewing angle, the perception and effect of the works change. What initially appears stable becomes dynamic and transforms into a visual symbol of a change in perspective, development, and inner alignment.
