Collection: Fabian Pfleger

Fabian Pfleger, born in Bonn in 1991, lives and works in Düsseldorf. In his artistic practice, he combines figurative painting with philosophical self-reflection. His works – often large-format self-portraits – are multi-layered role plays in which he stages himself as the protagonist in symbolically charged settings. Between irony and seriousness, he creates visual worlds that explore questions of identity, self-image, and social roles with artistic precision.

Pfleger studied Fine Art at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, most recently as a master student under Prof. Andreas Schulze. Since 2014, he has devoted himself to painting, received significant scholarships—including from the BEST Group Düsseldorf and the Dr. Hans-Werner Dildei Family Foundation—and was awarded the prestigious Academy Selection Prize by Galerie Kellermann in 2022.

His work has been shown nationally and internationally, including at BERLIN POSITIONS , the Discovery Art Fair Cologne , the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf , MAX 33/UNPAINTED Munich , in London and Amsterdam. Solo and group exhibitions have taken him to Galerie Kellermann Düsseldorf, the MAX 33 art initiative, the kunst-raum Essen gallery, and the Art Affair Regensburg gallery, among others.

Fabian Pfleger's paintings are deeply interwoven with autobiographical, cultural and social themes – and always permeated by a visually captivating mixture of humor, seriousness and analytical sharpness.
