Collection: Jan Davidoff

Jan Davidoff, born in Norden in 1976, now lives and works in Munich and Schondorf am Ammersee. In his artistic practice, he moves between figuration and abstraction, between nature and urban structural thinking. His works—from powerful paintings to metallically reflective surfaces—play with light, material, and perception. Found objects from the industrial and natural world serve as carriers for multi-layered pictorial spaces in which foreground and background flow inextricably into one another.

Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich under Prof. Anke Doberauer and Prof. Günther Förg, Davidoff has been exhibiting his works internationally since the 2000s. His exhibitions range from New York to Seoul, from Art Cologne to Villa Stuck. More recently, his focus has increasingly shifted to site-specific projects and collaborations with art associations and museums—always with a clear focus on the poetic tension between nature, humanity, and time.
