Collection: Matilde Romagnoli
Matilde Romagnoli, born in Milan in 1992, works at the intersection of sculpture, installation, and performative expression. Her works explore space, identity, and physicality—often in a reduced, direct, and highly physical way.
Educated at the Accademia di Brera in Milan and at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich , she studied under Olaf Metzel and Julius von Bismarck and graduated as a master student in 2023.
Her works have been shown in Munich , Belgrade , Vienna and Milan , among others – including performances for the Bavarian State Opera , installations in public spaces such as on Maximilianstrasse , and solo exhibitions such as at the Bioskop Balkan in Belgrade.
Romagnoli's works are both clear and ambiguous—they create tension in space, pose questions about the body, and open up spaces for association. Her art conceives form as a process and material as language. (Image copyright: Constantin Mirbach)
