Collection: Philipp Keel
Philipp Keel is an artist, author, and publisher at Diogenes. He studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston and at the University of Television and Film Munich before working in various artistic disciplines in the USA for over twenty years. His photographs, paintings, watercolors, drawings, screen prints, and sculptures have since been shown in international exhibitions and are represented in leading collections. He gained worldwide recognition with the bestsellers All About Me and All About Us (Random House, 1998/2000), the photo book Color (Steidl, 2004), and the book series Keel’s Simple Diary (TASCHEN, 2009/2011). Villa Flor in S-chanf and Galerie Apalazzo in Brescia exhibited his works on State of Mind (Nieves, 2014). His photographs were shown at Camera Work in Berlin and with Splash (Steidl, 2015), Last Summer (Steidl, 2021), and in 2022/23 with In Other Words at Bildhalle in Zurich. Most recently, his works were presented, among others, with Coincidences at Grisebach in Berlin in spring 2023 and with Below the Surface at In The Pink in Loulé, Portugal in 2024. As a producer with Diogenes Entertainment, he accompanies international film and television projects. In 2022, Philipp Keel received the 'Premio Enrico Filippini' for his work as a publisher. He lives and works in Switzerland and Italy.
